BED BUGS CONTROL IN KISUMU

A bedbug is a wingless, rust-colored insect about the size of an apple seed. Bedbugs are nocturnal parasites, which means they rest during the day and come out to dine on the blood of humans at night.

100% Perfect Eradication Guarantee

Bedbugs are attracted by human body heat and typically favor feasting on our shoulders and arms. During feeding, the bedbug’s proboscis pierces the skin of its victim, injecting bedbug saliva. Bedbugs typically feed for five to ten minutes at a time. As the little critter fills with blood, its colouring changes from light brown to rust–red.

Do You Have Bedbugs in Kisumu?

Bedbugs hide in cracks and crevices. They love to live in bedding and on mattresses, where they have easy access to YOU. Other living areas favored by bedbugs include:

  • Between wooden floorboards
  • In wall cracks and crevices
  • In carpeting
  • In the seams and cracks of furniture, particularly bed frames
  • Under loose edges of wallpaper
  • Behind peeling paint
  • Bedbug Bites

Bedbugs are rarely seen in action by their human victims. The first signs of a bedbug infestation are usually bites. Bedbug bites are generally painless, though itchy and annoying. They tend to start as swollen wheals, then fade to red marks and gradually disappear over a few days.

Experts suggest washing bedbug bites with antiseptic soap to avoid infection. The itching can be treated with calamine lotion or anesthetic creams.

Aside from those nasty bites, other signs that bedbugs may have moved in include:

  • Tiny bloodstains from crushed bugs on sheets or mattresses
  • Dark spots of bug excrement on bedding or walls
  • An offensive musty odor when infestations are severe
  • Bedbugs often spread by hitching rides on people’s clothing. They jump from host to host when people brush up against each other in crowds.

HOW RAT RODENT PEST CONTROL WORKS IN KISUMU

Inspection

Our qualified inspector will call at a time to suit you, to carry out a thorough inspection. Years of experience in the field and specialized training have equipped us to know just what to look for. All these are essentials that must be known to decide on the best control measures.

We will provide you with a comprehensive obligation free quotation for treatment.

This of course carries the First Class Cleaning Services Warranty – if re-infestation occurs during the warranty period, additional treatment will be provided free of charge.

Sanitation and Cleanliness

Sanitation and hygiene are absolute musts if the control program is to be effective. The elimination of rat harborage locations, food and water sources and the general cleanliness of the area are all essentials. Garbage heaps, old machinery, timber piles, weed growth and general litter should be removed. Garbage must be kept in rat-proof cans with tight-fitting lids and a well-organized and supervised cleaning and maintenance plan must be adhered to. Here again, the inspector can help. We will provide expert advice on the action required to minimize the risk of re-infestation.

Treatment of rat rodents in Kisumu

The suspicious and cunning nature of rodents can result in the treatment being a very specialized process. Most treatment methods involve the laying of special baits depending upon the type, size and food source of the infestation. Other methods such as tracking powders and traps may also be used.

First Class Pest Control has developed a wide variety of bait types, which have all been thoroughly tested in the field and proven successful!. In situations where the rodent is not taking the bait or appears to have a resistance to it, the Biologists and Entomologists from the Company’s Technical Services Department will develop a “tailor-made” treatment method to suit the particular situation.

The safety of humans and pets and the non-contamination of food and other materials is paramount. The control method is always determined with these factors in mind.

Signs of a Termite Problem in Kisumu

Appearance of damaged wood

Since subterranean termites build their nests underground, damaged wood usually has an accumulation of soil or mud within the tunnels of the wood they are eating. Since subterranean termites only eat the softwood, damaged wood appears to be layered, the result of the workers not eating the hardwood portion. In addition, subterranean termites feed “with the grain” rather than across the grain, as do drywood termites.

FLY PEST CONTROL IN KISUMU

How fly pest control works

Effective long-term fly control requires an integrated approach that includes identifying high-risk areas where flies are likely to breed and be attracted to, locating these breeding sites and access points, and then implementing the correct environmental, procedural, mechanical, and chemical tactics.

There are the four basic components of a fly management process that should be combined in a custom-tailored program for effective fly control to be maintained. These are namely inspection & identification, recommended procedure, communication and follow up treatments

Inspection & identification

The first step in any fly management process is the inspection. One needs to understand what environment one is encountering the fly infestation, one needs to find the source of where the flies are breeding, establish the reason why there is a fly problem there and how best to deal with it, is the site following effective housekeeping practises or does it require attention to its housekeeping, are good hygiene practises being followed, and lastly to identify what type of fly is breeding or infesting the area at hand so the correct control measures can be determined. Factors such as temperature, moisture, airflow, odours, lighting, and food sources play a role in determining correct control methods.

Recommended procedures

By having a two angled approach in dealing with a fly problem is key. One needs effective sanitation practises followed and maintained, along with an effective fly control programme. The basic principal to obtain long-term control of flies in and around the effected site is that effective sanitation and exclusion methods are essential and that chemical fly control is a supplement to these measures, and they both work hand in hand.

Communication

Communication between the customer and First Class Cleaning Services is vital for any form of pest management program to succeed.

You as the customer actually have a vital role in the fly management process, specifically in the areas of sanitation, building maintenance, and employee practices modification. If these factors are not addressed the program will not work effectively. As a pest professional, First Class will implement measures as per our recommendations from the start, which would be physical measures and chemical measures, if agreed to by the client, such as electronic fly units for the fly management program to demonstrate and show you the catch rate on the device/s glue boards.

Before beginning any fly control program you need to put in writing exactly what the program will entail, what flies will be targeted, and what is expected of the customer. Additionally, if certain services are to be sold separately, such as drain cleaning, this should be clearly communicated in the contract. If equipment such as insect light traps is to be installed it should be clear to the customer if they are for sale, lease or rent. It should also be clearly stated in the contract that the customer must comply with the sanitation and building maintenance recommendations made as part of the prescription for his facility. If these are not carried out the program will be far less effective and may not work at all.

We can’t emphasize enough how vital customer co-operation and communication is, due to the health risks associated with flies. Ongoing cooperation is required from both parties for the fly program to succeed.

Follow-up treatments

Fly control is not a one-off type of treatment, it is indeed an ongoing process to maintain premises clean and to also prevent and control flies that do enter. The frequency of the fly control visits can vary depending on the industry or environment that needs control- it can vary from twice a week to weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or six weekly.

Our technicians are trained to provide clients with the necessary feedback and recommendations along the way, along with an experienced management and operational department that can help in every situation.

ANT PEST CONTROL IN KISUMU

Our inspector/ technician will undertake a thorough inspection of the property during his routine service call to determine what control measures would be put in place that will control the ant infestation. The treatment would entail offering regular follow up services to the garden areas- which includes either a spray insecticide application to the garden, all lawn areas, flower beds and nests within the paved areas. Alternative application methods include a granular based application to high activity areas within the garden, along with a gel application in or around one’s facility. These treatments are guaranteed between services, i.e. if there is re infestation between routine services, we would return at no extra charge to re treat all infested areas.

Nest holes will also be injected using this pesticide under high pressure. Due to the rapid breeding and movement of black ants, it is recommended that if one lives in a complex that the entire complex be treated simultaneously to avoid any possible cross infestation from occurring within the complex. It is essential that all residents participate and have their respective units treated when the service is due. This further will prevent black ants from cross infesting their units.

A gel application can also be used in highly infested areas or sensitive areas where spray applications cannot be undertaken. This works by way of the ants being attracted to the gel by the incorporated attractant within the gel, the ants then feed on this and further take the gel back to their nests.

All our chemicals are approved by the PCPB and are applied by our service men that are registered with PEMAK.
